A New Chapter for Nonprofit Support
By Elizabeth Benson, Chief Executive Officer,
BEAM Center for Nonprofits
Every organization reaches a point where it has to ask whether the way it has always operated is still the best way to serve its mission.
Over the past several months, OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Leadership Council for Nonprofits, and Social Venture Partners Cincinnati asked ourselves that very question. Through thoughtful planning, due diligence, and many conversations, our boards and leadership teams explored how we could build on our individual strengths while creating something even more valuable for the nonprofit organizations we serve.
The result is BEAM Center for Nonprofits.
For us, this merger wasn't simply about bringing three organizations together. It was about bringing together organizations with a shared vision of helping nonprofits succeed and creating greater value for the communities we serve.
Together, BEAM will provide a broader, more connected network of support through:
- Consulting and operational support
- Leadership development and training
- Peer networks
- Strategic investments
- Philanthropic partnerships
- The Common Good Store; resources and tools
By bringing these services together under one organization, we hope to make it easier for nonprofit leaders to find the support they need when they need it.
The name BEAM reflects that vision. It builds on the themes of illumination and strength, reflecting our commitment to helping nonprofit organizations move forward with greater clarity, stronger connections, and the support they need to succeed.
This is an exciting milestone, but it’s also the beginning of our work. Over the coming months, we’ll continue bringing together the people, programs, and services of our three founding organizations while remaining focused on what matters most—helping nonprofit organizations succeed.
We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to working alongside nonprofit leaders throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky as we build this next chapter together. To learn more about BEAM Center for Nonprofits, visit beamnonprofits.org.
