REPORTS TO:  Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for support in the finance department for creating monthly reports and other accounting and bookkeeping work as needed.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Describe the duties that must be performed in the job. Focus on the function of the job rather than the means used to achieve that function. Focus on the required outcome of the job tasks, rather than on the tasks themselves.
1. Processing bi-weekly payroll.
2. General Ledger entries for payroll and reconciliation of bank accounts
3. Cash Receipts Processing
4. Assist in the month-end closing and creation of preliminary financial reports monthly.
5. Assist with audit schedule preparation & pulling information for auditors.
6. Responsible for pharmacy accounting duties including inventory entries and reconciliation, accounts receivable and cost of good sold.
7. Perform detailed financial statement analyses, as requested.
8. Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
9. Back up for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance


WORK EXPERIENCE
 2 to 5 years accounting experience


CORE COMPETENCIES
 Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
 Proficient processing payroll
 Proficient with formulas and pivot tables in Excel.
 Excellent communication and organizational skills.
 Able to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
 Must be analytical, precise, accurate and able to meet tight deadlines.
 Must possess the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Experience with Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics Software preferred
 Experience using Paycor preferred or similar payroll software.
