Job Summary

Join our team as our new Senior Director of Development, responsible to support the design and implementation of a comprehensive development program and drive the internal culture of the organization through leadership around national initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, major gifts, planned giving, strategic partnership and sponsorship structure, as well as oversight of annual campaign and grant funding.

Join our team as our new Senior Director of Development, responsible to support the design and implementation of a comprehensive development program and drive the internal culture of the organization through leadership around national initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, major gifts, planned giving, strategic partnership and sponsorship structure, as well as oversight of annual campaign and grant funding.
 
Salary range is $66,000 - $74,000/year. Benefits for FT employees include free family membership, health & dental insurance, program discounts, and optional retirement savings plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a coordinated program of fundraising activities focusing on major gift development, planned giving sponsorship support, and strategic partnership opportunities as well as annual campaign and grant funding.
  • Lead fundraising staff, and develop strategies and oversee all aspects of the Association-wide efforts surrounding the Annual Campaign and Foundation Support.
  • Primary relationship manager of a portfolio of individual and corporate donors/prospects capable of gifts above $10,000.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the development cycle from prospecting and pipeline development to cultivation, face-to-face solicitation, acknowledgement, and stewardship.
  • In collaboration with Development Directors, lead major gift initiative with branches through wealth screening and making assignments to branches in Daxko Engage.
  • Develop comprehensive sponsorship support program in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Marketing. Craft innovative and compelling sponsorship proposals and provide oversight to ensure sponsor benefits are completed as agreed upon.
  • Oversee planned giving program including engagement plan development, regular events and touchpoints; train Development Directors on planned giving initiatives for their assigned regions.
  • Coordinate special benefactor events, overseeing all aspects of event execution, including maintenance of guest lists, invitations, selection of venues and menus, and general event oversight.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master degree preferred.
  • CFRE preferred.
  • Five to seven years of progressive fundraising experience with proven track record of meeting goals. Proven experience in closing major, planned, and capital gifts.
  • Demonstrated growth in strategic and organizational responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple priorities and projects, adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to build strong collaborative relationships, engaging others in support of the mission, and work with others in a cooperative and effective manner.  Comfortable working with all levels of volunteers and staff, including high-level executives.
  • Demonstrated strong persuasive written and verbal communication skills and display excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, schedule and monitor multiple projects.
