NorthKey Community Care seeks an inspirational, highly motivated, and self-directed President and CEO to lead one of the largest and most historic Community Mental Health Centers in the country. NorthKey Community Care provides mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities services across the lifespan for the eight most northern counties of Kentucky, including Kenton, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Gallatin, and Owen counties.
NorthKey Community Care (NorthKey) seeks an inspirational, highly motivated, self-directed President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of the largest and most historic Community Mental Health Centers in the country. This position is open due to the pending retirement of the current President/CEO in March 2025. The organization is recognized at the state and federal level as a Certified Community Behavioral Healthcare Clinic (CCBHC) and receives frequent SAMHSA grants. NorthKey provides mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities services across the lifespan for the eight most northern counties of Kentucky, including Kenton, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Gallatin, and Owen counties.
NorthKey is headquartered in Covington, Kentucky. NorthKey provides a full array of outpatient services to over 16,000 individuals annually. The retiring President/CEO is only the third individual to hold the position in the 58-year history of the organization. NorthKey has a strong balance sheet, no debt, and well over a year in cash reserves. NorthKey is Joint Commission accredited and has a history of performing extremely well during surveys due to the continuous commitment to quality care and safety that is pervasive within the organization.
The incoming President/CEO must have a dynamic leadership style with an emphasis on collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff. The incoming President/CEO must recognize the value of balancing the needs of the organization with the needs of patients and staff, while ensuring the longevity and stability of the organization for generations to come.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of C-Suite experience and advanced academic credentials suitable to the position. Candidates must have a proven track record of success with a clear pattern of performance-based achievement driven by strategic thinking. Candidates must have a strong sense of self and a personal presence when interacting with policy makers. The candidate should have strong emotional and social intelligence as well as a demonstrated pattern of behavior that reflects the ability to connect with others in key political and policy making positions.
