Job Summary

Job Description

OUTPATIENT THERAPIST

The therapist will report directly to the Treatment Director in all areas of job performance and responsibilities.

The therapist must have a master’s degree in social work or a closely related field and a clinical license.

As an employee of Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home, the therapist shall be sensitive and responsive to cultural differences, which are present in the organization’s service population. As an employee at DCCH Center for Children and Families the Outpatient Administrative Assistant shall be sensitive and responsive to cultural differences, which are present in the organization’s service population. In addition, this person must promote and support principles of Trauma Informed Care (TIC) throughout the agency.

As an employee of Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home, the therapist will participate in systematic performance improvement efforts and will support and promote the PQI (Performance Quality Improvement) program throughout the agency.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide on-going therapy services to all clients assigned.
  2. Provide all necessary documentation in the file within the required time frames (Biopsychosocial, Treatment Plan, Therapy Notes, Safety Plans, Discharge Plan)
  3. Develop Treatment Plans with the client and review the plan with the client quarterly seeking out client signature.
  4. Advocate for and secure all auxiliary services deemed necessary for the benefit of the client.
  5.  Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
