Fairhaven Rescue Mission is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian ministry. We have an evening meal open to anyone, an overnight shelter for men, and men's addiction recovery program. Fairhaven is committed to meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the hurting and homeless population of the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati communities.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Fairhaven Rescue Mission is seeking a full-time Men's Evening Associate who aligns with our mission and values. This role directly supports the Men's Evening Supervisor by ensuring a safe, welcoming environment and facilitating nightly ministry efforts for the guests we serve. Ideal candidates are mature believers in Jesus who are self-motivated, can de-escalate, and are looking for opportunities to minister to the hurting and hopeless in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Welcoming men for meals and overnight shelter, which includes coordinating beds, showers, and laundry service.
- Volunteer Facilitation: Welcoming, hosting, and facilitating chapel speakers and volunteer groups to ensure a smooth and meaningful experience.
- Program Supervision: Overseeing and guiding New Life Program clients as they assist with operations.
- Facility & Safety: Monitoring the building to ensure a secure environment, enforcing Mission guidelines, and maintaining strict adherence to rules.
- Administration & Maintenance: Maintaining accurate client records, upholding building cleanliness, and managing inventory for building supplies.
- Mission Support: Performing other routine duties as needed to promote the smooth operation of the Mission.
Relevant Experience:
- Volunteer or professional ministry, preferably relational ministry like chaplaincy, counseling, mentoring, etc.
- Experience in a safety-focused role (professional or volunteer), specializing in situational awareness, crowd management and conflict de-escalation).
- Strong multitasking skills with experience prioritizing critical needs in fast-paced, high-traffic industries (such as hospitality, event management, or similar environments).

Pay: $18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift, 4:00pm-midnight
- Monday to Friday
