Pay Range: $60,000-$66,000

Job Description

The Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships (MPP) reports directly to Senior Director, Donor Services and collaborates with the Finance, Community Strategies and Marketing Departments.

The MPP is responsible for taking the lead on managing GCF’s special initiative fundraising efforts. This role drives the creation of fundraising strategies for each initiative while also coordinating moves management of prospective co-funders with staff and volunteers. Additionally, they will ensure funding partnerships and grants are properly stewarded and subsequent grants completed and follow up reports provided. The MPP ensures a consistent understanding, clarity and alignment across the organization of the various fundraising efforts and philanthropic partnerships being led by GCF

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships is responsible for the planning, execution, stewardship, recognition and tracking of GCF’s Annual Fund endeavoring to grow available assets for operations year over year. (40%)

The Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships is responsible for creating fundraising strategies, collaborating cross-departmentally, and managing moves management for GCF’s special initiatives including, Racial Justice Fund, Racial Equity Matters, Affordable Housing Impact Investing Pool, United Way partnership and other initiatives as needed such as emergency efforts, temporary initiatives and/or new opportunities. (30%)

The Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships will assist with ongoing prospecting needs of the organization, most importantly qualifying donors to special initiative opportunities as potential future GCF fund holders. (20%)

The Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships will assist the Chief Philanthropy Officer in providing support for GCF’s partnership with P&G as needed. (10%)

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced level of proficiency with wealth screening tools and platforms and open to learning new fundraising and CRM systems. Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Minimum five years of professional experience in fundraising and development with progressive responsibility. Prior experience in frontline development, donor relations, and/or stewardship required.
  • Ability to implement and manage fundraising plans, including individualized cultivation, solicitation, and recognition plans.
  • Commitment to participating fully in GCF’s internal and external racial equity initiatives, demonstrated by thoughtful action, a results orientation and continuous learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; comfort in connecting to diverse constituents and the ability to build authentic, long-term relationships for an organization.
  • Curious and self-motivated learner interested in understanding the nuances of fundraising, donor engagement and the role of community foundations.
  • Strong donor-relation and/or customer relation skills, providing prompt, professional responses to all prospect inquiries.
  • Polished and compelling oral and written communication skills.
  • Impeccable follow-through and strong attention to detail; ability to connect all facets of development, communications, and events to a strategy.
  • Successful track record motivating and managing volunteer leadership to accomplish shared goals.
  • Experience carrying out a donor-centered fundraising philosophy and strengthening a culture of philanthropy.
  • Familiarity with potential donors interested in GCF.

Wages are negotiable within the competitive salary range set by GCF. The ranges have been established based on organization, industry and national standards. Desired salary expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
