Hours:
This is an hourly, non-exempt full-time position working five (5) days a week, 9am-5pm. This position will include weekday and weekend hours, with on-call coverage as needed..

Job Qualifications:
- At least 5 years related maintenance or construction experience; campus facility or management experience preferred
- Experience in hospitality or residential facilities preferred
- Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry
- Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to build rapport with a culturally diverse population
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic building/facility control software
- Sensitivity to the needs of families in crisis
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Self-starter who is results-oriented
- Ability to work well with others in a dynamic team environment
- Professional, dependable, and timely
- Positive Attitude and customer service focused

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and building systems.
- Complete light maintenance tasks, including carpentry, caulking, wall patching, and paint touch-ups.
Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. - Maintain exterior areas such as parking lots, walkways, and landscaped spaces.
Assist with setup, breakdown, and basic support for community and program events.
Participate in emergency response activities, fire and disaster drills - Represents RMHC Dayton in community and partner interactions related to facility operations.
- Execute other House responsibilities as requested by the Program Director and/or COO.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Screen, train, and supervise garden and maintenance volunteers.
- Support volunteers on maintenance projects and ensure safe work practices.
- Coordinate vendor access, escort as needed and verify completion of contracted work.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond promptly to calls, emails, and work orders.
- Track service reports and communicate follow-up needs.
- Maintain organized records of inspections, repairs, vendor reports, and maintenance agreements, and updating files annually.
- Oversee equipment and supply inventory and place orders as needed.
- Participate in the Property Reserve Committee and other assigned committees.
- Ensure incident reports are completed, filed, and communicated appropriately.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in preparing and monitoring the annual budget for building use and facility maintenance.
- Submits vendor invoices for timely payment.
- Provides facility-related input and data to support annual capital budget review and updates.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as in maintenance shop and work areas. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as power tools and hand tools and other various tools of the trade.
