Grants Coordinator

The Grants Coordinator is responsible for all stages of the grant development process, including prospect research, drafting applications, and submitting follow-up reports. The Grants Coordinator is responsible for all stages of the grant development process, including prospect research, drafting applications, and submitting follow-up reports. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
The Grants Coordinator is a member of Lighthouse’s Development Team, which is responsible for driving growth of revenue through a comprehensive fundraising program that meets and exceeds annual and long-term financial goals. This position works closely with members of the Development Team as well as program leadership throughout the organization in a supportive environment dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission: to empower young people and families to succeed through a continuum of care that promotes healing and growth.
Starting pay ranging from $20 to $25/hour
Competitive pay based on education and experience
Essential Functions:
- Identifies and reviews potential grants and contracts for service.
- Maintains a detailed record of all prospects and a schedule of proposal, contract, and reporting due dates.
- Manages grant writing and submission process for local, state, and federal government grant opportunities as well as private and corporate foundations.
- Writes/prepares proposals for private and corporate foundations and less complex governmental proposals. Assists the Director of Grants & Contracts in the writing and preparation of larger, more complex governmental proposals.
- Prepares reports to grant and contract funders.
- Coordinates the contract review process with agency leadership.
- Maintains reliable business processes and protocols for managing and tracking grants and contracts in a timely manner.
- Ensures the organization is represented at appropriate networking and information exchange opportunities.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Social Work, Writing, English or a closely related field.
- Grant writing experience in a non-profit setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
