Financial Controller

The Point/Arc of Northern Kentucky, serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Northern Kentucky area for the last 53 years, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or to the CEO, and is responsible to produce accurate financial information and statements, to monitor financial controls, to protect the assets of the company, and to supervise accounting staff.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Account and general ledger reconciliations
- Preparation of financial statements
- Internal auditing
- Processing incoming funds through bank deposits, credit card and online transactions
- Tracking and record keeping for grants and other donor restricted gifts
- Supervision of cash disbursements and receipts
- Tax reporting and filing
- Invoicing
- Closing the books on a monthly and annual basis
- Preparation for annual audit or review
- Supervision of accounting staff
- Other related duties as necessary
Candidate requirements include advanced training in accounting or finance and at least 5 years prior experience as a Finance Director, Assistant Controller or Controller. Non-profit accounting experience is preferred. Candidate must have strong organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
