Position Overview
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Organization: Partners For Change
Location: Hybrid - In Office and Remote
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Type: 20 hours / week - Part Time or Contract Position
Key Responsibilities: - Budgeting & Planning: Support the development and management of the organization’s annual budget in collaboration with the CEO and leadership team.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
- Cash Flow & Financial Oversight: Monitor cash flow, manage accounts, and oversee day-to-day financial transactions to ensure financial stability.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including nonprofit-specific requirements.
- Audit & Tax Filings: Coordinate annual audits and ensure timely preparation and filing of IRS Form 990 and other required tax documents.
- Grant & Program Financial Management: Track grant budgets, spending, and reporting requirements to support program success and funder compliance.
- Financial Operations Support: Support COO in overseeing the accounting processes and systems.
- Fundraising Support: Provide financial analysis and projections to support grant proposals, donor reporting, and fundraising strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management, with a strong preference for experience in the nonprofit sector.
- Solid understanding of nonprofit accounting practices, including fund accounting and grant reporting.
- Proficiency with financial management software, preferably Sage Intacct or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze and present financial data clearly.
