Finance Associate

The Finance Associate supports the administration of the financial/business functions of Ronald 
McDonald House.

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; finance/accounting courses beyond high school preferred
• At least two years of finance experience
• Experience in administrative support
• Understand and practice confidentiality
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated, ethical and eager to learn

Position Requirements:
• Pays vendors in a timely manner; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving contract, 
invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for 
outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments. Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling 
monthly statements and related transactions. Charges expenses to accounts and cost 
centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Work with finance volunteers to oversee accuracy of accounts payable work
• Reconciles daily shift/vending money and prepares bank deposits (both scanned and manual). 
Records front-counter credit card transactions.
• Assist CFO as needed, including:
Tracking of our 1099 vendors
Rev 12122022
Assist with the monitoring of our insurance policies (properly/commercial/liability, etc.), 
including updating Ronald McDonald House drivers
Assist with annual financial audit
• Other duties as assigned
• Attend the Board's Finance and Audit Committee meetings, recording then transcribing 
minutes of the meetings. Assist the CFO in the preparation for and hosting of these
meetings.
• Represent with pride our Ronald McDonald House Charities in communication with guest 
families, donors, vendors and community members (as displayed through professional 
attitude, tactful and reliable information and appropriate dress). Maintain professional 
standards when communicating with guest families, volunteers, donors and vendors.
• Pursue opportunities for professional development.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
• Work as a team member with all staff at Ronald McDonald House, treating fellow staff 
members with respect and sensitivity to the requirements of their jobs.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office 
equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel

crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. 
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, 
peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours to Work

This is a part-time position, expected to average 15 hours/week.
