Job Description

Summary: The Finance Associate supports the administration of the financial/business functions of Ronald McDonald House.

Reports to: CFO

 

Job Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; finance/accounting courses beyond high school preferred
  • At least two years of finance experience
  • Experience in administrative support
  • Understand and practice confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, ethical and eager to learn

Position Requirements:

  1. Pays vendors in a timely manner; scheduling and preparing checks and ACH payments; resolving contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments. Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording

 

  1. Work with finance volunteers to oversee accuracy of accounts payable work.

 

  1. Reconciles daily shift/vending money and prepares bank deposits (both scanned and manual). Records front-counter credit card and Venmo transactions.

 

  1. Reconciles weekly check donations from Development, prepares scanned bank deposits and records accompanying entries.

 

  1. Records Third Party Billing Receivable entries and payment receipts in accounting software.

 

  1. Provides monthly credit card statements to card holders and records credit card payable in accounting software.

 

  1. Tracks gift card donations and completes inventory on a quarterly basis.

 

  1. Assist CFO as needed, including:
    1. Tracking of our 1099 vendors and annual document preparation.
    2. Assist with the monitoring of our insurance policies (property/commercial/liability, etc.), including updating Ronald McDonald House drivers
    3. Assist with annual financial audit

 

  1. Represent with pride our Ronald McDonald House Charities in communication with guest families, donors, vendors and community members (as displayed through professional attitude, tactful and reliable information and appropriate dress). Maintain professional standards when communicating with guest families, volunteers, donors and

 

  1. Pursue opportunities for professional

 

  1. Attend and participate in staff

 

  1. Work as a team member with all staff at Ronald McDonald House, treating fellow staff members with respect and sensitivity to the requirements of their

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours at Work
