Job Summary

The International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) is a 501c3, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. IRSF makes strategic and significant investments in research to find a cure for Rett syndrome, while also funding activities related to improving clinical care, family empowerment, and advocacy. The Foundation not only funds the highest quality research but is dedicated to helping develop better treatments to improve the quality of life of individuals with Rett syndrome.

Position Summary:

The Event and Program Support Specialist is a part-time, in-office position that plays a vital role in supporting the success of the organization’s events and programs. This individual must be highly organized, solutions-focused, and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Schedule:
This role requires a commitment of approximately 8–12 hours per week, working 2 to 3 days per week for 4 hours each day. Workdays will fall on Monday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday, with some flexibility in hours based on mutual availability.

Reporting Structure:

   This is an in-office Cincinnati based role who reports to the Events Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and general support to the Events team and other Program Directors.
  • Provide support in preparing and assembling project documents, presentations, and
  • Monitor and maintain event and marketing materials inventory.
  • Assemble packages and manage shipping for various events.
  • Assist Events team with administrative activities.
  • Manage all shipping requests.
  • Support programs as needed
  • Review documentation, receipts, and invoices upon request.

  • Strong project management knowledge and prioritization, with the ability to deliver multi-faceted projects on time.
  • Brings enthusiasm for the tasks at hand to his/her work, as well as a sense of creativity and an interest in continual improvement.
  • Ability to proactively recommend solutions to potential problems and to develop plans for addressing problems on the fly when necessary.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ) and its editing tools.
  • Understanding of Zoom platform
  • Can-do attitude
