POSITION TITLE:                 Employee Resource Coordinator

RESPONSIBLE TO:              Executive Director

Over-the-Rhine Community Housing Background:

Over-the-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH), founded in 1988, is a not-for-profit community development corporation whose mission is to develop and manage resident- centered affordable housing and build inclusive community and benefit low-income residents. We provide the Property Management, Property Development, Resident Services and Tenant Advocacy that enable the thriving, diverse community we enjoy today.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position assures that the Over-the-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH) mission and vision are carried out by OTRCH team members. The Employee Resource Coordinator is responsible for providing the support that staff need to be successful including the provision of office infrastructure, IT support, office vendor contracts, security, human resources and miscellaneous support for 5 OTRCH sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good organization, time management and prioritization
  • Efficient troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the Human Resources field
  • Nonprofit experience a plus. Proven ability to work harmoniously with ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse groups of individuals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Information Technology:

  • Manage contract with Information Technology vendor, implement recommendations and address day-to-day support as required, including:
    • Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
    • Implement security measures
    • Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements
    • Offer technical support to company staff and act as a liaison to IT vendor.
    • Install and update company software and hardware as needed
    • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items

Operations:

  • Support all departments as needed;
  • Work with Executive Leadership in developing and determining organizational best practices, crisis response, and general governance;
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals;
  • Manage phone systems, contracts, and liaising with Cincinnati Bell and associated providers at all OTRCH sites;
  • Assist with special projects as decided upon by Executive Director and other members of leadership.
  • Manage office logistics for staff work spaces (computers, works station setup) 
  • Manage office supplies for all staff
  • Manage office security systems and contracts

Human Resources:

  • Administer employment benefits enrollment and support annual benefits review.
  • Work with Accountant to run biweekly payroll using payroll software.
  • Support, explain and interpret Employee Handbook for staff.
  • Provide updates to Employee Handbook as needed.
  • Assure compliance with local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Develop and revise documentation systems as needed to improve OTRCH HR systems.
  • Assure maintenance of human resources records regarding hiring, performance and terminations.
  • Facilitate and develop on-going training, support for supervisors and staff including DEI programming.
  • Identify and pursue educational opportunities to promote professional growth.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of Information Technology
  • Strong problem solving and dispute resolution skills.
  • Must demonstrate emotional intelligence, cultural competence and a strong commitment to collaboration. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in verbal, print, and electronic communications.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

COMPENSATION:

Over-the-Rhine Community Housing offers robust employee benefits including Health Care insurance with 100% premium payment, phone reimbursement, parking, and 401k employer match. This position will pay between $45,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
