Faith Community Health Network is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Development & External Relations to help expand access to charitable medications and healthcare services throughout Northern Kentucky. Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Full-Time, Exempt, 32 Hours per Week
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experience
Job Summary
Faith Community Health Network is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Development & External Relations to help expand access to charitable medications and healthcare services throughout Northern Kentucky. This leader will play a critical role in building relationships with donors, foundations, churches, businesses, and community partners whose support helps transform lives and improve health outcomes for underserved neighbors.
This full-time exempt position is based on a 32-hour work week, offering exceptional work-life balance while leading the organization’s fundraising, donor engagement, grant development, and community outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and faith-based organizations.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns, donor events, and engagement activities.
- Research grant opportunities, prepare proposals, and manage grant reporting requirements.
- Cultivate, steward, and retain donor relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors.
- Oversee donor database management and gift tracking.
- Serve as a primary ambassador for Faith Community Health Network at community events and partnership meetings.
- Develop partnerships with businesses, churches, civic organizations, and community leaders.
- Lead marketing and communication efforts, including newsletters, annual reports, website content, social media, and media relations.
- Develop and manage the fundraising budget and provide regular reports to leadership and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant fundraising experience.
- Minimum of five years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success securing donations, grants, sponsorships, and major gifts.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience planning fundraising events and campaigns.
- Experience with donor management software and fundraising platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
