Job Description
The University is seeking to fill two Director of Development positions to serve as lead fundraising partners for the College of Health and Human Services and the Haile College of Business. Each Director will be responsible for securing philanthropic support by managing the full donor cycle for a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead development representative for the assigned college, partnering closely with the Dean and academic leadership to shape strategic fundraising priorities and translate academic initiatives into compelling philanthropic opportunities.
- Build, cultivate, and steward meaningful relationships with donors and prospects by aligning philanthropic interests with college and university priorities.
- Secure major gift commitments, with an annual fundraising goal of $1M+.
- Identify and qualify new major gift prospects in collaboration with Prospect Research and Management.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of donor interactions, proposals, and activities in university systems, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
- Collaborate across University Advancement on division-wide initiatives, special projects, and strategic priorities.
Reports to the Assistant Vice President of Development, University Advancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years of fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.
- Demonstrated success in securing individual philanthropic gifts.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage donors thoughtfully and strategically.
