Development Manager, LMFR

Last Mile Food Rescue is a bold, fast-growing nonprofit on a mission to eliminate wasted food and fight hunger. We leverage our app technology and community of volunteers, to deliver fresh, surplus food to those who need it most. We are looking for a highly organized and deadline-oriented Development Manager to join our team. This role supports fundraising implementation efforts with a focus on individual giving, donor data management, and small-scale grant writing. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-heavy environment and wants to help drive measurable impact in the community. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Individual Giving & Donor Strategy 

• • Support annual fundraising plans focused on individual donors, including appeals and renewals. 

• • Track revenue goals and report progress in coordination with the Senior Director of Advancement. 

• • Manage segmented donor communications to support engagement and retention. 

• • Develop monthly giving program to deliver financial stability, build a pipeline of donors, and as a community engagement tool for Last Mile. 

• Donor Pipeline & Stewardship 

• • Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking in Last Mile’s CRM. 

• • Support donor recognition efforts, events, and relationship-building opportunities. 

• Grants (Up to $10,000) 

• • Maintain a pipeline and calendar for small grant opportunities. 

• • Write and submit grant applications and reports for awards of $10,000 or less. 

• • Assist with data and research for larger grant applications led by contracted writers. 

• Campaigns & Advancement Support 

• • Assist with tactical execution of fundraising campaigns and donor events. 

• • Support the planning and implementation of donor cultivation events and partner activations. 

• • Collaborate cross-functionally with communications and program teams. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree. 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising support. 

• Experience with grant writing and reporting 

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. 

• Familiarity with donor CRMs and fundraising analytics tools. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, 

Compensation & Benefits 

Salary Range: $50,000–$55,000, commensurate with experience.
