The Development Coordinator position will process and reconcile gifts in Raiser’s Edge; lead all database clean-up; assist with data reporting and queries; sync Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge; write grant reports and reports in collaboration with the Development Manager, and support fundraising efforts to enable Bethany House Services to fulfill its mission to empower homeless and at-risk families with the solutions to achieve housing stability and long-term self-sufficiency. Salary $60,000 plus benefits.
Job Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gift Processing
Facilitate all components of gift processing, including donation data entry, donor acknowledgment letters, and record updating for financial and in-kind donations.
Run queries and reports for various needs, including mail lists, donor lists, development metrics, and other data.
Maintain data integrity through regular database monitoring and updates.
Data and Reporting
Gather and report all organizational fundraising metrics.
Assist with input and reporting of volunteers and volunteer hours.
Pull organizational outcomes and outputs from HMIS (Clarity) for Development use and broader organizational use
Configure Raiser’s Edge to meet internal and external reporting needs, including finance audits.
Collaborate with CFO and Senior Accountant to sync Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge.
Perform donor research as needed by CEO, CDO, or others.
Fundraising
Maintain all online donation and registration pages.
Steward a small portfolio of recurring online donors.
Assist with communications functions as needed, including email, newsletters, website, and social media.
Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of events.
Assist with other development or communications tasks as needed.
Grant Writing
Write grant proposals and reports for private philanthropy and government opportunities with cohesive and persuasive narratives.
Assist with grant research and grant calendar management as needed
Communicate closely with Development Manager to determine assigned grants, key program components, foundation stewardship needs, and other divisions of grant writing and reporting labor
