Job Summary

United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking a Database Associate to perform a wide range of data hygiene and administrative duties specific to the Resource Development Team. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes related to organizational and departmental data maintenance when initiative and judgment are often required in absence of specific direction.

Job Description

United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking a Database Associate to perform a wide range of data hygiene and administrative duties specific to the Resource Development Team. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes related to organizational and departmental data maintenance when initiative and judgment are often required in absence of specific direction.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintains data hygiene for Resource Development Team, particularly focusing on account and contact records and data points for major Corporate Partners and major individual donors in SCRM as well as related records in attributes, donor network memberships, contact roles (soft credits), and other objects.
  • Maintains and updates records and data points for transactional (Tier 4) Corporate Partners campaigns and related records.
  • Provides key administrative support within the donor database with core focus on major individual donors’ records including:
    • Assisting with producing marketing lists for bulk mailings, event invitations, and mass emails.
    • Updating database from bulk mail returns, post-event attendance uploads, email bounces, and other data sourced from other staff.
    • Partnering with manager to address reporting requests from other Resource Development staff and escalating to Analytics & Technology Services as needed.
  • Other special projects and committees as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent plus two years of college or professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum four years’ experience.
  • High-level Microsoft Office and database experience with proven ability to quickly learn and use both common and proprietary local and cloud-based software (e.g., Office 365, Salesforce CRM, etc.).
  • Strong organization, project coordination, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail essential.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of volunteers, staff, and agency/community partner representatives.
  • Ability to establish/deliver on priorities and maintain confidentiality as required.
  • Some physical exertion may be required in setting up meeting space.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional local travel to events within the regional area.
