Starting Pay: $23.73 - $29.66/hour

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending youth homelessness and ensuring all young people in our community have access to vital care, including mental and behavioral health services, youth housing, emergency shelter, community juvenile justice services, residential treatment, and foster care and adoption. We're seeking a Raiser’s Edge NXT Database Administrator to join our development team. This role offers an opportunity to directly support our fundraising efforts, allowing us to expand our reach and provide life-changing services to those who need them most.

About the Role:

The Raiser’s Edge NXT Database Administrator is a critical position responsible for the comprehensive management, integrity, and optimization of our organization's donor database and related software solutions. You'll be the primary expert in data administration, focused on maintaining accurate, reliable, and high-quality donor and gift information to support our development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gift & Donor Management: Process all donations, accurately update and maintain donor and gift data, and ensure timely receipting and gift acknowledgment per best practice.
  2. Reporting & Analytics: Generate mailing lists for various communications and create and maintain queries, exports, and reports for information requests. Track and report progress using specific metrics. Analyze data to help shape strategy and advance the organization’s priorities.
  3. Data Integrity & Quality: Define and enforce data standards, manage data integrity, and implement processes for continuous data quality improvement. Proactively leading regular database hygiene and maintenance efforts such as duplicate management, NCOA changes, research and updates of datasets, and periodic audits.
  4. Fundraising Support: Actively support the planning, tracking, and execution of fundraising initiatives and events, contributing to our donor development process.
  5. Database Leadership & Administration: Lead the administration of the donor database and other development software, including managing user access and system configurations.
  6. Documentation, Training & Support: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation and provide ongoing training and support to users.
  7. Financial Reconciliation: Complete month-end reporting and assist with reconciliation processes, collaborating with the accounting department.
  8. System Maintenance & Vendor Relations: Address and resolve system problems with vendor support teams and stay informed about new product functions.
  9. Donor Research: Conduct donor research as requested by key stakeholders.
  10. Marketing & Communications: Assist with fundraising-specific communications, including email creation and deployment, event setup, and constituent management using our online marketing tool.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  1. Required Education and Experience:
    1. Bachelor’s Degree.
    2. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with a fundraising database/CRM in a nonprofit setting.
    3. Demonstrated experience with data integrity and data quality processes.
    4. Experience in gift processing, donor acknowledgments, and basic reconciliation processes.
    5. The ability to create and run complex queries, exports, and reports.
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  2. Preferred Education and Experience:
    1. Experience working with Raiser’s Edge and Luminate Online.
    2. Blackbaud Professional Certification.
    3. Familiarity with GiveSmart and other online fundraising and marketing tools.
    4. Experience with nonprofit fundraising.
    5. Strong communication skills.
    6. Experience in creating and maintaining SOP documentation.
    7. Experience providing user training and support to people of varying technological comfort levels.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This role operates in a professional office environment, primarily sedentary but involving some standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Minimal travel is expected.

 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
