Job Summary

This role supports the mobilization of youth ages 13-25 by connecting them with resourcing in areas such as housing, jobs, behavioral and physical health, schooling, etc. as well as builds and maintains partnerships in the community that help fill these needs. This person must have experience with systematizing resourcing to serve the needs of several youth simultaneously.

Are you a social worker who is burnt out by high caseloads with minimal impact? Are you a highly collaborative individual who is resourceful and knows the community? Do you know how to build and maintain partnerships to support young people in getting their comprehensive needs meet in areas such as housing, education, career, mental and physical health? At Found Village we create an intentional and impactful community that affects real change in the lives of the youth we serve. We commit to serving young people from 13 years old until at least the age of 25. (Check out some of our stories here! https://foundvillage.org/our-voices/#filter=.video) We are looking for an experienced social worker that is familiar with navigating traditional systems related to schooling, behavioral and physical health, housing, jobs, community partnerships. etc. This employee must be skilled at identifying the right resources and connecting youth with the appropriate community partner/resource that will provide greater stability for our young people to mobilize them to reach their full potential.

If you are an experienced social worker that excels at building strong partnerships, can create strong systems, enjoys connecting youth to resources and opportunities that remove barriers to opportunity, and knows how to keep young people accountable, then you could be the perfect fit for our Resource Manager role!

Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in social work or counseling (Master's in social work is a plus)
  • You understand the importance of relationships in supporting youth to meet their full potential
  • You have boundless hope for youth from hard places and relentlessly advocate for their needs
  • You have a strong awareness of community resources, excel at building partnerships, and have a proven track record of removing barriers to opportunity
  • You are an exceptional communicator and strong collaborator that can work with a team to achieve a common goal
  • You are a creative problem solver with high conflict resolution skills
  • You like to work in a fun environment and focus on your mental health through positive self-care activities
  • Bonus: You are trauma informed and have experience working with youth in the foster care system

What You’ll Do & Learn:

  • Build community partnerships and establish strong relationships with providers and community agencies to ensure the needs of our young people are met as they arise
  • Work with the coaching team to assess needs and gaps of Found Village youth 
  • Provide coordination of key cases when multiple community partners are involved in support of coaches
  • Work with young people and their coach to support with mobility efforts and resourcing needs
  • Remove barriers to opportunity and create ease in accessing needed support and services
  • Educate and support programing team around the community resources and support available.
  • Build a system of support that allows for more proactive support and care
  • Use data to recommend changes and improvements and brings suggestions to the team
  • Promote an environment of safety and stability for young people that encourages healing, belonging, and relational interdependence
  • Provide crisis support as needed
