Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Reports To: Children’s Ministry Director Classification: Part-time, up to 20 Hours
Ministry: Family Ministry FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
KINGDOM PURPOSE
Promote the Kingdom of God in assisting the Children’s Ministry Director and by coordinating Children’s Ministry events to further the Mission and Vision of Faith Community UMC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate Children’s Ministry events such as VBS, Bible events and family events
- Coordinate/manage volunteers for Children’s Ministry events
- Assist the Children’s Ministry Director with paperwork and data tracking
- Organize/Upkeep the Nursery – including the cleaning schedule and bulletin board
- Assist the Children’s Ministry Director to ensure Safe Sanctuaries policies are followed at all events
- Other necessary Children’s Ministry tasks as assigned by the Children’s Ministry Director
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- An associate degree in a related field preferred or proven experience in Children’s Ministry
- Administrative experience
- Event planning experience

- Outstanding work ethic; self-starter
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Great relational skills with both children and adults
- Humble spirit that continually desires to learn and improve
- Proficient computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
