Job Summary

United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking an Impact Associate who will support the operations and functions of the Community Impact Team. The role will independently and collaboratively implement and support community solutions to include: grant prospecting and management, initiative coordination and support, and community engagement efforts.

Job Description

United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) is seeking an Impact Associate who will support the operations and functions of the Community Impact Team. The role will independently and collaboratively implement and support community solutions to include: grant prospecting and management, initiative coordination and support, and community engagement efforts. The role will mainly work with the Free Tax Prep, Renew Collaborative and grant acquisition teams but may be asked to assist other Community Impact Team members as needed.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Grant Prospecting and Management:
    • Support grant acquisition and management activities, including completing grant opportunity summaries, drafting applications, communicating with internal teams regarding grant requirements, and securing reporting documentation.
    • Ensure critical deadlines and policies are met to maintain grants and any necessary compliance based on the funding source.
  • Initiative Coordination, Support and Technical Assistance:
    • Coordinate and support operations for Free Tax Prep and Renew Collaborative initiatives, including managing communication, supporting day-to-day operations, managing data and reports, processing financial requests, and updating records in United Way’s Salesforce systems.
    • Certify has a VITA volunteer through the IRS.
    • Provide technical assistance support to community partners around initiative outcomes, equipment inventory, and required software/technology leveraged by community partners.
  • Project Support:
    • Support and, at times, lead assigned projects to support key strategies to solidify support and expand relief efforts for families across our region.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), required. Ability to utilize the internet for research and operate across multiple data software systems and volunteer communication and management platforms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Adaptability and agility in balancing multiple and shifting activities and priorities.
  • Personal attributes: results driven, detail oriented, resilient, collaborative, adaptable, entrepreneurial, and inclusive.

 

Salary $45,000, plus competitive benefits package
