Assistant Director of Mission Advancement, Migration Services
The Assistant Director of Mission Advancement, Migration Services, is responsible for engaging donors, volunteers and community partners in promoting Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio’s (CCSWO) fundraising and development strategy to support and grow services related to migrants and refugees. The Assistant Director will support and prmote brand awareness of Su Casa Hispanic Center, collaborate internally with other services that extend to the migrant and refugee population such as; including Refugee Resettlement, Immigration Legal, Mental Health, and AccuracyNow Language Services. The Assistant Director will work on shared projects and goals, primarily focused on public relations, volunteer involvement, donor engagement, external community partnerships, grant and sponsorship funding, and event planning support.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Promote volunteer and donation opportunities to support CCSWO mission and migration services. Cultivate and engage with individual donors, particularly those with specific affinities for social services to migrants and refugees.
2. Represent CCSWO in community settings that encourage greater involvement in migration-related programming, including promoting the Su Casa Hispanic Center’s socio-economic advancement of low-income Hispanic migrants.
3. Track personal caseload of donor and community partner relationships via Raiser’s Edge Database.
4. Produce timely, accurate reports on project management and engagement activities that lead to donation revenue, volunteer recruitment and collaborative community partnerships.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify program-specific and agency-wide needs to create volunteer and funding opportunities.
6. Collaborate with other Development and Marketing colleagues to provide additional support for event planning and other activities, particularly annual migration awareness event, Su Casa Gala, and World Refugee Day.
7. Support opportunities for collecting and sharing the stories of clients, donors and volunteers for marketing and mission awareness.
8. Provide staff support to the Su Casa Hispanic Center Advisory Council.
9. Support donor engagement, public awareness and volunteer recognition events.
10. Collaborate as a member of the Development and Marketing Team to facilitate a culture of solidarity and empowerment of all who engage in the mission of Catholic Charities.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:
· College degree required, preferably in a field related to nonprofit fundraising.
· Experience in the recruitment and management of volunteers
· Experience in non-profit philanthropy and personal solicitation of gifts
· Experience building strategic relationships, both individually and with institutions
· Experience using constituent databases (CRM) or equivalent
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and other collaborative platforms
· Strong understanding of migrant experiences, including those of Hispanic backgrounds.
· Flexibility and strong organizational skills for independent daily management
· Collaborative, team-oriented working style
· Demonstrated public relations skills, including a friendly personality and excellent customer service skills
· Ability to travel locally
· Flexibility in scheduling to participate in events that may occur on evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
· Fluent in Spanish
· Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other database systems
