Job Title:  Administrative Assistant

Location:  St. Francis Seraph Ministries, 1615 Republic Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

Reports to:  Executive Director, St. Francis Seraph Ministries (SFSM)

Position Purpose:  The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Executive Director and senior leadership team. This is a part-time exempt position (20-25 hrs. weekly) that reports to the Executive Director.

Mission & Values:  We nourish and nurture the homeless and working poor in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine and surrounding neighborhoods. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Model the mission and values of SFSM to clients, volunteers, co-workers, and the community, acting in accordance with the values of the Franciscan Friars of the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain effective digital and paper filing systems
  • Draft and edit letters, reports, and other documents
  • Accurately input and update information in databases and spreadsheets
  • Assist with fundraising and marketing efforts
  • Compile and summarize information for reports or presentations
  • Maintain confidentiality and security
  • Adapt priorities as needed and ensure that deadlines are met

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to work some flexible hours when programs are underway in other areas of the Ministries, including special events
  • Attend monthly staff meetings, trainings, and any other meetings in support of SFSM, including travel to such meetings, as needed
  • Must maintain current and valid driver’s license with reliable method of transportation
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • High school degree or equivalent. Two years of college preferred
  • Minimum of three years of administrative experience
  • High-level Microsoft Office and database experience. Google experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills
  • Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
